Privacy Policy

Who we are and what this policy covers

Blue Peak Digital LLC (“Blue Peak,” “we,” or “us”) provides the Local Trust Engine. This policy describes how we handle information from visitors to our website, people who use the Local Trust Score or Private Fit Check, and people who contact us about our services. Privacy questions can be sent to saul@bluepeaknc.com.

This policy covers Blue Peak’s own website and prospect information. Work performed for a client’s business, including that business’s homeowner inquiries or review requests, is governed by the client’s notices and our agreed service arrangements.

Information you provide

The Local Trust Score collects your answers to twelve questions about Google presence, reviews and proof, the website and quote path, and lead handling. To view your results, we ask for your first name, email address, business name and website URL.

The Private Fit Check collects seven answers about your business type, operating history, approximate revenue range (including a “Prefer not to say” option), team size, decision-making role, timing and readiness for the stated service. It asks again for your first name, email address, business name and website URL. We use these details to review fit and follow up.

If you email us or otherwise contact us, we receive the contact details, message and business information you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identification, health information, or private customer records through the Score, Fit Check or ordinary email.

If you use a comment form on the website, WordPress collects the comment, the name, email address and website you provide, and technical information such as your IP address and browser user agent for moderation and spam detection. Approved comments and the name you provide may be visible publicly. Gravatar may receive a hashed version of your email address to check for an avatar; its practices are described in Automattic’s Privacy Policy. Please avoid including private information in a public comment.

Information collected during use

Our website and service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, referring source, submission time and completion status. ScoreApp records your responses and calculated scores, and may recognize returning visitors using cookies. This information supports the assessment, troubleshooting and security, and helps us understand how the customer path is used.

How we use information

We use your information to calculate and display your Local Trust Score; make the Local Trust Fix Kit available; review your Private Fit Check; send a submission confirmation and relevant follow-up; respond to your questions; and maintain necessary business, security and permission records. We may review publicly available information about your business, website and Google profile to assess fit and prepare an accepted Audit.

Score results are based on your answers. Fit Check submissions receive manual review; submission does not reserve an Audit or confirm acceptance. We do not use the Fit Check to make an automatic acceptance decision.

Completing the Score or Fit Check does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter or unrelated marketing list. We do not sell your submission information or use it for unrelated advertising. You can ask us to stop optional follow-up by replying to an email or contacting us. We may keep a minimal do-not-contact record so we can honor that request.

Service providers and external links

We use ScoreApp to host the Local Trust Score and Private Fit Check, store responses, and deliver configured confirmation emails and owner alerts. Necessary submission information is available to Blue Peak through the ScoreApp account and the inbox used for those alerts. ScoreApp’s own practices are described in its Privacy Policy.

The Local Trust Fix Kit opens in Google Drive. Opening that link sends you to Google’s service, which handles your visit under its Privacy Policy. Downloading the workbook does not require you to give us additional contact details.

We also use email and website infrastructure providers to deliver communications and operate the website. Those providers process information needed for their function. Access within Blue Peak is limited to people who need it for the stated work. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to address misuse, protect rights or respond to a security incident. External services and links have their own privacy practices.

Cookies and your choices

WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and related preferences. If you choose to save your name, email and website when commenting, WordPress uses comment-preference cookies; this website’s comment form offers an opt-in checkbox. ScoreApp uses session and security cookies for its assessments and may use a returning-visitor cookie. Its published cookie guidance identifies scoreapp_session and XSRF-TOKEN as essential, and _score as a non-essential visitor-persistence cookie. See ScoreApp’s cookie guidance.

You can manage cookies in your browser and through any cookie controls offered by the service you visit. Blocking essential cookies can prevent a form or assessment from working. We will describe any additional analytics or advertising tools and provide appropriate choices before introducing them.

How long we keep information

Our retention schedule for business contact, Fit Check and Audit records belonging to prospects who do not become clients is 180 days after the last interaction, apart from a minimal do-not-contact record. Records needed for a client engagement follow the relevant service and records schedule. Necessary contracts, invoices, approvals and rights evidence have a restricted seven-year default, subject to applicable requirements.

Our policy sets a 30-day rolling target for technical logs and backups. Retention is subject to the actual provider settings; a single automatic deletion timer across the website, ScoreApp and email has not been verified. Deleting an active record may be followed by expiry from backups; deletion instructions must be reapplied if a backup is restored. Cookie lifetimes are separate from lead-record retention and are controlled by the service setting each cookie and your browser choices. Some service providers retain records under their own settings and obligations. We do not represent removal of Blue Peak’s access as deletion of a record held by another account owner or service provider.

Your requests and choices

Email saul@bluepeaknc.com to ask what information we hold about you, correct your details, request deletion, or stop optional follow-up. We may verify a request through a known contact route before acting. We may retain limited records needed to honor an opt-out, resolve a dispute, protect security, or meet applicable obligations. Available rights and required response periods depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

Security and changes

We limit access and use safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No website, email service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us if you believe information has been sent in error or handled improperly.

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the effective or last-updated date on the published version. Material changes affecting how we use previously collected information will receive appropriate notice.
